
About the Role
A clinic specialized in the care of individuals on the autism spectrum is seeking a bilingual Chilean professional (4-year university degree required) to join its team in Lanham, Maryland, U.S.A. The Assessment & Intake Coordinator is a key role in the admissions process, acting as the first point of contact for families, coordinating evaluations, verifying insurance, and ensuring a smooth transition into clinical services.
🧠 Key Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for families: answer inquiries and explain the evaluation and service process.
Coordinate and schedule initial evaluations and consultations.
Collect, record, and maintain patient information, medical history, and insurance data.
Verify insurance coverage, manage authorizations, and liaise with insurance companies.
Process admission documentation (both physical and digital).
Respond to calls and emails, providing timely follow-up on inquiries and requests.
Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality and compliance standards are met.
Support general administrative duties and manage scheduling changes as needed.
Requirements
4-year professional degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Social Services, or a related field.
Ideally 1+ years of experience in outpatient healthcare settings, clinics, or medical offices.
Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Advanced or fluent English: Must be able to conduct evaluations, sessions, and reports in English.
Chilean nationality (required for H‑1B1 visa eligibility).
Willingness to relocate to the United States.
