
About the Role
A clinic dedicated to supporting individuals on the autism spectrum is seeking bilingual Chilean Occupational Therapists to join its clinical team in Lanham, Maryland, U.S.A. You will work with children and adolescents in a multidisciplinary environment. This is an opportunity to practice your profession abroad with a formal contract, full benefits, and a U.S. work visa.
🧠 Key Responsibilities
Conduct initial clinical evaluations and interviews with parents/caregivers.
Assess patients using evidence-based practices.
Design and implement occupational therapy plans with clear and measurable goals.
Address occupational performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and relevant life contexts.
Develop task analyses and intervention strategies for patients and families.
Train and guide parents and caregivers as part of treatment plans.
Prepare clinical and progress reports in English, including documentation for insurance providers.
Recommend environmental adaptations, specialized equipment, and assistive technologies.
Work collaboratively with speech-language pathologists, BCBAs, and other clinical team members.
Supervise and support Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) when applicable.
Requirements
Professional degree in Occupational Therapy (required).
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum, using evidence-based practices.
Knowledge of pediatric evaluation and intervention; experience with standardized tools is a plus (not required).
Advanced or fluent English: Ability to conduct clinical evaluations, therapy sessions, and reports in English.
Chilean nationality (required for H-1B1 visa eligibility).
Willingness to relocate to the U.S.
